Extensive context sensitive searching, filtering and navigation tools assist the technician in quickly locating the information required to complete a repair. Graphics and wiring diagrams are handled using state of the art tools aimed at clarifying the process for the technician to ensure repair times are kept to a minimum.

ITIS is vehicle centric; consequently repair technicians are shown only a tailored view of the repair and maintenance information, specific to the VIN loaded. Any appropriate Field Service Actions are displayed and tracked and the appropriate warranty and repair history for the specific vehicle is also shown.
Items such as the service checksheet are profiled not only by VIN but also personalised for the customer to further enhance the service experience.
ITIS is designed to allow the repair network to be updated with latest information within seconds. Data can be automatically loaded from a Content Management System such as Blaise or from ITIS’s own authoring and workflow modules which allow documents to be authored, reviewed, translated and published with the appropriate vehicle and market metadata attached.
ITIS supports the major publication file formats including XML, HTML, PDF, OTX and Flash. ITIS is not just a one-way communication system as repairers are easily able to give feedback on issues to designated recipients. The data collected on servicing patterns and document usage illustrates the success of policy and processes and aids future decision making.
Vehicle complexity and the growth in distributed systems mean that technician knowledge and simple Diagnostic Trouble Code reader tools alone are no longer sufficient to make a diagnosis and complete a repair.
The use of symptom based diagnostics aids rapid identification of issues and can be implemented in such a way as to require pre-authorisation for the replacement of costly parts under warranty, driving down warranty costs. Digital Service Record (DSR)
The Digital Service Record module within ITIS provides the manufacturer with the tools required to replace the printed service book with an online system. DSR helps drive customer retention while increasing service and parts volumes.
Individual customer servicing activity can be tracked and accessed by the OEM. DSR accurately predicts when the next service is due and with the inbuilt links ITIS has to the Customer Relationship Management System of the OEM, is proven to make a real difference to service retention.

This offers the manufacturer a flexible fully configurable system which can support charging levels varying from access to one document type on one model variant for one hour to full access to all documents for one year and a transactional type charge for vehicle software (module updating and reprogramming).
