The Translation Service Agent (TSA) gives you full ownership of your translation memory together with powerful tools to minimise costs, maximise consistency and improve your control over the translation process. The system is fully web-based and uses open XML standards –so there are no expensive proprietary tools and minimal training needs.
The TSA contains a sophisticated translation memory and matching system. It identifies text elements which match already translated content, those which are totally new and those which fit into a category of ‘fuzzy’,’ leveraged’ or ‘update’ matches. Only elements that need to be translated are exported and translation memory is fully utilised to maximise reuse and minimise cost. Additionally machine translations of new text can be produced for review by a human translator.
The TSA is designed specifically to meet the challenges of organisations which publish multi-language and multi-market documentation. It features open standards for data exchange to free you of proprietary translation memory databases or software.
Based on the analysis of the document, TSA exports a file containing the elements that need to be translated or reviewed to the workflow inbox. For fuzzy or leveraged matches the options are shown in a drop-down list from which translators select the most suitable text and amend, if required, This improves consistency across different publication types and helps leverage the investment in translated text across your entire organisation. Although the technology is sophisticated, the user interface is extremely simple – training requirements for your own staff or translators are minimal.
The TSA makes it easy for you to route translations to the most cost-effective provider. Approved translators upload and manage their unit prices for each category of matched text so you instantly know the cheapest source for translating a document. A Quality Factor can be applied so that translators can be favoured based on quality of service or other factors.
