Personalisation of high-volume products has become an important line of business for many companies. Additional extras purchased on top of the base product give the customer a new sense of interest in their products. Thus accessories have both an important engineering and marketing aspect.

- Flexible categorisation of accessory types and properties definitions.
- Content management system to manage user access and editing privileges.
- Delivery system to display accessories to potential consumers.
- Multi-branding to package accessories appropriately across brands.
- The ability to translate and display data across various markets from a single system (currently 37 markets and languages).
- Scalable to cope with access from multiple markets.
The Cognitran Solution:
The Accessories Management System represensts a fully Java J2EE compliant web-based solution. It allows the Client to list and maintain details on accessories across the whole product range and across brands.
The various users have different levels of access privileges, with publication dates controlled by the business owner. This allows customers to see what accessories are available for their purchased product. A DVD solution providing users with offline access to accessories information.
An import facility allows for a smooth transfer of existing data from the previous system. Translations are provided by Language Services Providers through XLIFF.
